Precision Industrial Manufacturing Inc. is hiring a Full-Time Fabrication Shop Steel Welder for immediate placement.

POSITION SUMMARY:

PIC Fabrication Shop has immediate openings for experienced Welders/Fabricators to join our team. We are seeking a dedicated individual who thrives on challenges and consistently exceeds customer expectations. The ideal candidate will have experience with FCAW and GMAW welding processes.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Must be certified or able to pass the FCAW weld test in accordance with AWS D1.1 standards.
  • Minimum of 3-6 years of hands-on experience as a welder in a structural shop environment.
  • Proficient in interpreting blueprints and understanding weld symbols.
  • Knowledgeable in crane operations, rigging of structural steel, and related equipment handling.
  • Familiar with the craftsmanship standards outlined in AWS D1.1.
  • Additional proficiency in welding processes such as GTAW and SMAW is a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • Read blueprints or job orders to determine product specifications, including dimensions, tolerances, and tooling instructions, such as fixtures, and establish the sequence of operations.
  • Operate safety equipment and adhere to safe work practices.
  • Plan the sequence of operations, considering the effects of heat, weld shrinkage, machining, and metal thickness.
  • Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, tacking, and welding using prescribed fixtures and proper work procedures.
  • Set up and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, including welding machines, grinders, and other equipment.
  • Remove excess weld, slag, or spatter by chipping or grinding using hand scrapers or portable grinders.
  • Mark or tag materials with appropriate job numbers, piece marks, and other identifying marks as required.
  • Inspect workpieces for defects and measure them to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Lift, pull, push, and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Move parts into position manually or with hoists or cranes.
  • Possess manual dexterity and visual acuity to perform required tasks.
  • Meet the physical demands of the position, including standing, walking, kneeling, bending, and squatting.

  • Day shift.

  • Pay range: $24.00 – $30.00 per hour, DOE.
  • Pre-employment drug screen required.
